I am so excited about our 3rd Ma Vie Studio senior model for 2011. Valerie is a junior at IDEA College Prep school in Mission Texas and her session, though a bit tiring for her, turned out to be fantastic. We worked with several outfits from her house, to downtown Mission where we took pix by an old, and I mean old as in antique, truck, and for the grand finale, we went to her parents business, Ferro Block , she put on a dress she doesn’t wear anymore and we got Val in a jacuzzi tub, with water, candle lights, and a little surprise from her brother she wasn’t expecting. It’s kind of funny that 2 days later we went to a Quinceañera of a niece of mine, and Val was there and I asked her, “so you want to get that dress wet too?” to which she candidly replied, “get this nut photographer away from me”. Well, here is a small sample from her session, but I am still debating whether or not to show one of the jacuzzi tub images, so check back in a couple of days and see if Val was able to bribe me into not putting one image online. LOL!.jpg)

Alexis is our 2nd senior model from Roma High School and her session was a blast. She loves art and loves to paint, so we started exploring ideas of her painting, and one thing led to another, and she was even able to “hold” the sun on the palm of her hand, that image is coming soon. Then we went by a little brook, where even her mom said that maybe we should come back because it was already to dark, but after showing her the images she totally loved them (check out the interesting reflection). Oh, and since Ale does video and editing for the high school’s television network, GTN, we got some pix done there, and to close out the night, we had her in a shopping cart speeding across the parking lot, total fun for all of us. Small sample of her images below, more to come!

After many months of planning and working to get everything setup from the branding to the site, the blog, the colors, the images, and very soon, our studio location, it’s a great joy to see some of the hard work render fruits. I believe we have found some of the most amazing senior models to represent and promote Ma Vie Studio. First off, it’s Kassy, a very laid back but fun young lady full of life and joy. We had a great deal of fun doing her senior model session that went from an abandoned truck, to some burned trees to a bridge where we got kicked out of because it was private property (oops! LOL!) to some night photography. Below is a small sample of what I created for her. I’ll be showing off much more of Kassy in the coming weeks as we prepare to introduce our studio in our area through the Ma Vie Studio website, the MVlog, and our Facebook page. Stay tuned and be sure to leave Kassy and us some MVlog love!

Today was a very good day, we met with 3 of our Ma Vie Senior Models for their planning sessions and I can’t wait to get started on these. The girls are so unique, so interesting, and so KEEWWWWLL!!!! that I am so excited to start photographing them. In the coming weeks we are going to be doing senior pictures in Mission & Roma (several parts) and we are going to photographing during the day but also at night. We couldn’t be happier with our senior models and our senior model program, which I think it totally ROCKS!. Our models are so excited to get their sessions done and one of them is also thinking of interning with us this year, since she loves art and loves photography. Stay tuned for the upcoming senior photos of some very interesting and totally fun kids.
